The Business ~ Community Boardroom is a joint initiative of The Hornsby & District Chamber of Commerce & Industry and The Hornsby Shire Council Community Services & Commercial Properties Six months in the planning and execution this joint project was initiated through the need for a boardroom facility to comfortably, affordable and accommodate up to ten people with all the equipment necessary to conduct all types of meetings and seminars. Since 1998 the Hornsby & District Chamber of Commerce & Industry has conducted it's business in the Willow Park Community Centre at Edgeworth David Avenue Hornsby. This heritage house owned by The Hornsby Shire council and managed by the Community Services Division was built in 1903. Deemed as the perfect quite location, close to Hornsby's CBD and complete with it's own car park, the Hornsby & District Chamber of Commerce & Industry began talks with Community Services to acquire one of the two meeting rooms housed in the building for the purpose of this joint initiative. The Commercial Properties Division of Hornsby Shire Council initiated the agreement to ensure all criteria was met as the project involves community property. So the partnership was finalized and the Hornsby & District Chamber of Commerce & Industry contacted it's members to support this initiative by sponsoring the boardroom equipment needed to turn this meeting room into what is now a fully facilitated Business ~ Community Boardroom This latest Hornsby Shire Business ~ Community facility already has businesses booking the boardroom for weekly sales meeting in the case of Nova Kitchens and catered seminars in the case of Infinity Business Connections. Hornsby Chamber itself has been holding it's Monthly Executive meetings and discussion groups. It is the preferred venue for Triple H 100.1 FM for their Board Meetings and Community Groups such as Jewish Care, Hornsby Chinese Language School and Wollody Strata Management use this facility now on a regular basis. Through word of mouth enquires have been steadily flowing in to the Hornsby Chamber office to book the Business ~ Community Boardroom for everything from recruitment interviews to software demonstrations from offsite employee evaluations to fully accredited certificate courses… just to name a few This facility can be booked for just about any type of meeting or event that requires full facilities or just the room only. The room is flexible enough to accommodate various configurations to meet your needs.....
