Meet the Candidates Forum
As is the tradition with Hornsby Chamber, the closest networking meeting in an election month becomes our Meet the Candidates Forum.
Hornsby Shire Council elections will be held Saturday 13 September 2008. This is your opportunity to meet, listen to platforms and question the candidates that possibly will make the decisions that will affect your business in Hornsby Shire.
Formal Forum
Hornsby Chamber dedicates 1 Hour to the forum. The forum is formally run with time limits, warning bells and questions that have been submitted to the panel.
The Question Panel
The question panel consists of representatives of our local media, business and community. Question time is 15 minutes in total. Candidates answer time: 60 seconds.

The Hornsby Charity event of the year is on again. Last year raised over $30,000 and a fantastic night
was had by all.
It is the courage and spirit of Hornsby South student Alex Graham (pictured above) that inspired this event.
Alex and Peter FitzSimons (former rugby international, author and journalist)
are the faces of The Spastic Centre’s “Kick a Goal for Kids” appeal.
The funds raised from this appeal have been used to pilot a sport and
recreation program for children with disabilities to enable them to
experience not only the joy of participation but also the increased health
benefits of a higher level of fitness.
